With profound sadness we received the news about Redmond’s demise.
We are aware of how much Cuba meant for him and how he always regarded our country as in the core of all the core of all the progressive processes that are taking place in Latin America.
Redmond represents and will forever be remembered as an example of dedication to the anti-imperialist struggle, to justice and equality. He was a true and committed friend and he will always be in our thoughts.
At this painful time I wish to express deepest condolences and sympathies to you and Redmond’s family, on behalf of us all at the Embassy of Cuba.
