All across the major Western countries political upheaval is being caused by economic weakness, austerity and the war drive.
The common political feature is the rise of right wing leaderships, a racist offensive designed to divide workers and the rise of authoritarianism.
Britain is no exception.
The government has commissioned a report that fans racist myths rather than explain what is known about child sexual exploitation. Simplistic racist narratives, promoted by the far right and fanned by the government, fail the victims of child sexual exploitation.
Beginning the fightback against austerity, explaining how it is linked directly to military spending and the rise of racism is the first step in a long fight to revive the left, to defeat these attacks and to push back against Reform UK.
Socialists should do anything possible to encourage MPs to vote against the legislation supporting assisted suicide. The votes take place soon.
