$4 Trillion sustainable development investment is needed every year. Only $1.1Trillion is taking place and half of that is by China. Wealthy countries should step up their investment to China’s level.
Grant Shapps has failed to rise to the task of making the UK government’s Net Zero Plans adequate to meet the target of no more than a 1.5C increase in temperatures by 2050, as the Government was directed to do by the High Court last September.
The latest IPCC Report is calling for the most rapid possible end to fossil fuel extraction. It states it is now imperative for developed countries to reach net-zero emissions by 2040; and 2050 for the Global South. The necessary action is not being taken. It must be taken now! Mobilise for The Big One!

We need an alliance between the working class movements in the Global North with countries in the Global South demanding reparations and a recognition that socialist countries are part of the solution and this has to be forged in the struggle.
