The United Nations says that about half the population of Afghanistan are “facing a record level of acute hunger.” UNICEF says, without urgent action, 1 million children could die from malnutrition.
The US won’t release $9.5 billion of Afghanistan’s funds it has frozen in its central bank.
The US has suffered in a severe economic defeat in its competition with China. Regrettably, this economic win by China is unlikely to reduce US hostility. Like a cornered tiger, America may become even more aggressive – as shown in its recent policies on Ukraine and Taiwan.
In the past four decades the Uyghur population in China has grown from 5.55 to 12.72 million. This is hardly what one would expect for a population supposedly undergoing extermination.
The U.S., while verbally proclaiming support for “human rights”, is actively campaigning for a Covid policy that would kill 6.4 million Chinese people by the end of this year.
China in 2022 will face more negative global economic trends than in 2021. This will clearly require more domestic stimulus in China while making it necessary to avoid the errors of Trump/Biden administrations.
