On June 2nd representatives of Ansarallah and the Saudi led Coalition agreed to a two month extension of the nationwide ceasefire in Yemen. To secure a lasting settlement Britain must end its military and political support for the Coalition’s war.
An in depth analysis of the sanctions imposed on Iran, their history, the damage they inflict and how Iran has kept its economy functioning.
Given the terrible suffering that the Yemeni people have endured, the first nationwide ceasefire since 2016 can only be welcomed. But there is a long way to go before the war ends.
The Iranian people deserve respect and justice. We must continue to press for an end to all sanctions, and for the unfreezing of Iranian assets abroad.
The publication of Amnesty International’s report “Israel’s Apartheid against Palestinians” is an important development. What is significant is that Amnesty International, like Human Rights Watch, has an historic alignment to US State Department concerns.
