Scathing Covid-19 report only shows one aspect of the catastrophe
The government’s overall policy has been to boost profits at every turn, even at the cost of 160,000 lives and rising. It has no intention of shifting course, because its entire attack on workers and the oppressed has letting the virus rip as its centrepiece.
The capitalists have inflicted a huge defeat on workers and the oppressed – Now they have come to claim their dividends
There has been a huge offensive by the ruling class in the imperialist centres, and this offensive has largely gone unanswered. The consequent defeat means that those same ruling classes are now able to claim the fruits of their victory, and increase the rate of exploitation significantly.

The government has effectively shifted to a policy of herd immunity by infection. It is a completely reckless policy, without any mitigations or proper safeguards. Scientists and leading medical professional tells us this cannot work.
US smearing of China’s efforts against COVID-19 only hurts the entire world
The again rapidly worsening situation in the US with COVID-19 was met not with an attempt to deal with the real dangers but with a clearly centrally organized campaign to attempt to disguise by every means possible the real situation from the US people—and above all to conceal China’s success.
