The coup in Niger follows coups in Mali, Burkina Faso, and Guinea. Each of these was led by military officers angered by the presence of French and US troops and by economic crises inflicted on their countries.

The Sandinista revolution has massive support within Nicaragua. The U.S.’s interference and sanctions should be opposed. Nicaragua’s fight for sovereignty and pursuit of an independent path should be supported.
All France’s parties of the right in France support austerity and are whipping up racism to divide the resistance to this attack. Authoritarianism is increasing to repress the resistance. The left needs to oppose this carnival of reaction.
The slogan “Neither Washington nor Moscow”, now replaced by “Neither Washington nor Beijing”, has nothing to do with socialism. It is out of contact with any human reality.
