This year’s Ard Fheis registered the continuing strength of Sinn Féin and the complexity of the tasks it now faces.
It is the strongest party in the north and polling ahead of the two governing coalition parties in the south.
Sinn Féin has been consolidated as the third major political force in the southern Irish state. There is now a need for consideration about how left, Republican parties and progressive representatives cooperate in the time ahead.
