There are two major components of this undemocratic democracy. Firstly there is voter suppression either formal or informal which is aimed primarily at black and Latinx communities. Secondly there is the over representation of rural and suburban areas compared to urban areas.

The left internationally must, as an absolute top priority, build solidarity with the people of Bolivia as they fight on to defend their inspiring victory.
For the left to be neutral in the face of the US’s cold war against China, to present the US and China as twin evils and therefore adopt the slogan of “neither Washington nor Beijing” is completely absurd and bares no relation to the reality. It is the US, not China, which represents a threat to all humanity.
While the outcome of the presidential election may make a significant difference to US tactics against China nevertheless whoever is elected president will continue an aggressive policy against China. Therefore, both China and the international community must prepare for this.
U.S. President Donald Trump—supported by most of the U.S. establishment—deepened the U.S. government’s assault on the Chinese economy.
This has not worked very well, and the U.S. economy has slipped into negative territory.
