The paralysis currently on display in the US is a grim warning to the rest of the Biden agenda. It also illustrates that bipartisanship is used as a weapon against the left to block all social progress.
Biden has made this concession because of pressure from inside the US as well as from outside, where China and Russia, the two key states the US wishes to weaken, are the global leaders in vaccine distribution to developing countries.
President Biden is hosting 40 international leaders for a climate summit on 22-23 April. The US needs to significantly increase its commitment to climate action, increase funding to deliver Green New Deal and support developing countries to pursue sustainable development.
