Barristers – members of the Criminal Bar Association – are taking industrial action on an indefinite basis from 5 September.
Pay levels are a central issue, plus the fight to defending the existing rights of those who find themselves being prosecuted in the criminal justice system.
Currently the Government is refusing to negotiate with the Criminal Bar Association.
