The challenges facing Afghanistan may seem insurmountable, but in large part they have been brought about by the US and NATO and they cannot be part of the solution. The truth is, military intervention has been a disaster and it offers no prospects for the future.
In February 2021 China achieved the eradication of extreme poverty. 850 million people had climbed out of absolute poverty. Per capita income has increased ten-fold in the last twenty years and life expectancy has increased to 77.3 years compared to 35 years in 1949.
The general condition of Afghanistan after 20 years of NATO intervention is that half the population are in humanitarian need and nearly one in two children will face acute malnutrition in 2021 – UN.
The Tunisian President Kais Saied has initiated a coup. Assisted by the army, parliament has been suspended, the Prime Minister sacked and the constitution suspended. Saied has appointed himself head of executive authority and attorney general. A curfew has been imposed with gatherings of more than three people banned. This coup should be opposed.

An economic crisis caused by the tightening of the US blockade, 243 additional US sanctions, and the COVID-19 pandemic has led to serious shortages in food, fuel, and medicines in Cuba.
The situation in Cuba is today the key to the situation in Latin America and is of crucial importance throughout the world. Defeat of Cuba, that is success of the US in its hybrid war, would be a huge step forward for the US in its fight against national independence in Latin America and throughout the world, and in the fight against the new cold war against China.
