This year’s Labour Party conference, after detailed discussion, including one of the largest gatherings of pro-Jeremy Corbyn delegates ever in the meeting to deal with ‘compositing’ the resolution, voted by an overwhelmingly majority to pass a policy on the EU and Brexit.
The chaos in the Tory Party around Theresa May’s Brexit deal deepens daily as Parliament debates the issue. Even the Tory media, nowadays openly including the BBC, is forced to admit this. But the same media is systematically attempting to conceal the unity and successes achieved on this by the Labour Party with Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership.
The 585-page withdrawal agreement destroys all the myths that have been peddled by the Brexiteers about the bountiful future that waits outside the EU, the Single Market and the Customs Union.
The claim for the latest Tory Budget is that ‘austerity is coming to an end’, and has been dutifully echoed by the Tory press and the BBC.
In reality austerity policies will continue long into the future, extending the longest recorded fall in living standards in this country.
