Life expectancy: socialist China advances; the US retreats
Since 2019 there has been a precipitous decline in life expectancy in the US and a very marginal decline among its peer countries. However, China has continued to experience a rise in life expectancy uninterrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and has now overtaken the US for the first time.
The campaign for pay and for peace has begun
The imperialist proxy war in Ukraine and the drive to dramatically increase the rate of exploitation, are objectively linked. A victory for imperialism on either front would strengthen it dramatically, and a defeat would naturally do the opposite.
COP – Heading for meltdown in Egypt?
As COP27 approaches, the US is taking inadequate action to reduce carbon emissions, in Britain a new Tory government will backtrack on the current feeble plans, and the Global North is failing to honour its commitments to aid the Global South tackle climate change.
