The US is leading both the intensification of the current hot war against Russia and also the intensification of the cold war against China. It is in the interests of humanity that everything possible should be done to oppose this war drive.
The oppression of France’s undocumented migrant population ensures a supply of cheap labour for capital to exploit. In response to this racism and super-exploitation the Sans Papiers have launched a wave of struggles and achieved some victories, and continue to fight back.
The mood at the Ard Fheis was very upbeat. At the heart of the party is the commitment to Irish reunification. The key issue being how to further encourage and channel the debate around unity.
The challenge for the left in CEE countries is to lead the growing social protests and explain how NATO’s escalation of the war in Ukraine and sanctions imposed against Russia are adding to the fall in the living standards of its populations.
The imperialist proxy war in Ukraine and the drive to dramatically increase the rate of exploitation, are objectively linked. A victory for imperialism on either front would strengthen it dramatically, and a defeat would naturally do the opposite.
