The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust announced that the theme for 2021 is “Be the light in the darkness”.
We must remember the horrors of the Nazi Holocaust. It is imperative that we reflect and bear witness to the memory of the atrocities that resulted in the murder of over 6 Million Jewish people and millions of others.
We will also hear from voices representing the Roma and other communities who were targeted by the Nazis.
The event will underline the importance of opposing antisemitism and fascism, especially during the coronavirus pandemic and economic crisis, that the far right are using to build support.
In a world where far right and fascist groups continue to deny the Holocaust our aim is to play a part in paying tribute to those who were victims of the Nazis and to say Never Again.
