Abortion Rights are holding a peaceful ‘March for Choice’ to counter an anti-choice protest  which presents itself as a ‘March For Life’ on5 May.

The ‘March for Life’ is made up of extreme anti-women, anti-choice, evangelical groups which regularly harass women outside of abortion clinics. They are marching to restrict women’s rights and access to abortion.

In addition to opposing abortion, these groups also have links to homophobic, fascist and far right organisations. ‘March for Life’ supporters also oppose contraception, sex education and IVF fertility treatment.

As Abortion Rights points out, women should be trusted to make their own decisions about their bodies. Women attempting to access a legal medical service must be able to do so without fear of harassment or intimidation.
