The crisis around Brexit in political terms is the deepest one for Britain since World War II and from a legal/constitutional viewpoint it is unprecedented for over 300 years. Such a depth of crisis can therefore only be propelled by huge social forces.
This autumn Britain will enter its biggest political crisis since World War II as Johnson, Farage and Trump launch their attempt to force through a No Deal/Hard Brexit – a fundamental attack on the working class and oppressed.
The danger of a No Deal Brexit has become urgent and real with both the two final candidates for the Tory leadership saying they would accept such an outcome.
The entire media, the Tory party and the Labour right were gleefully prepared for a Labour defeat in the Peterborough by-election, which they intended to exploit ruthlessly to further undermine Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of the Labour Party.
Following the Euro-elections, and May’s announced resignation as Tory party leader, due on 7 June, it is clear the Tories’ hard right Brexiteer wing, backed by and/or working with Trump and Farage, will take control of the Tory Party.
