Each proposal in the Code shows how it will benefit all legal relationships in Cuban society. The text will add rights and will make visible family models that were not recognized until now, in a country that does not stop looking inside itself and thinking about its people, despite the adversities.
Cuba achievements in combating COVID-19 rest on a foundation of socialist development. The measures taken have been based on a scientific understanding of the virus. The highly educated population understands the scientific concepts. Plus health care is universal, accessible and free.
Fidel Castro has begun to exist in other ways. He is still there and will continue to be.
The march is just another episode in a more comprehensive strategy. The emerging alliances in Latin America and the Caribbean – anchored by Maduro and López Obrador – have already reshaped the hemisphere to the disadvantage of imperialism.
This is an example of socialist internationalism, made possible by the leadership of the CPC and the powerful economic development of the Chinese economy.
It also makes all adherents of the “neither Washington nor Beijing” position look more than a little ridiculous.
