Information from the organisers
With trade unions calling a major day of action on 1 February – called by the TUC – against new anti union laws and Rishi Sunak’s latest broadcast once again scapegoating and targeting refugees, we need to fight for unity and oppose the politics of divide and rule.
With nurses, ambulance workers, postal workers, rail workers, teachers and university lecturers all hitting the picket lines, the government is branding trade unions – and refugees and migrants – as the enemy. They are even rolling back on the commitments they made in the wake of the Windrush Scandal.
Hundreds of activists and campaigners from across the unions all over England, Scotland and Wales will be gathering at SOAS university in London (and online) at the ‘Fighting for anti racist workplaces’ conference – asking how we build unity as we fight back against the cost of living crisis and oppose the attempts to divide our side.
Whether you are a union activist, or have just started work in an un-unionised workplace, or if you are a community campaigner who wants to link up with the opposition to the government’s divide and rule strategy, this event is for you!
If you are visiting trade union events and picket lines, you can bring THIS LEAFLET with you to publicise the conference.
