Information from the organisers

Antiracists from across Britain and the world will converge in Central London to discuss action, strategy and ideas for building the growing movement against racism.

In Britain we are seeing a government determined to use scapegoating and divide and rule to deflect from political and economic crisis.

The Hostile Environment, the Rwanda Plan and the Nationality and Borders Act – which fundamentally attack the rights of refugees and threaten the nationality status of 6 million people – are fanning the flames of racism.

Internationally the rise of racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism goes alongside the growth of the racist and fascist right.

We have to build resistance and fight to create a mass anti racist movement.

The Stand Up To Racism International Conference is a forum to bring together people’s experiences of resisting racism and to discuss and advance strategies for strengthening the movement to face new challenges.

Sessions and workshops will include From Child Q to Decolonise – fighting for anti racist education; Racist stop & search, deaths in custody: The police and institutional racism; #StopRwanda: Fighting to end the hostile environment, all refugees welcome; Standing against the rise of the international racist & fascist right; Love Music Hate Racism: Building the cultural front against racism; BLM – a movement not a moment: fighting for Decolonising and reparations; Challenging Islamophobia today and more.

Come together with antiracist activists from across the world and play your part in this crucial, international forum to shape and grow the mass movement against racism.
